Personal Experience

Originally from Sinaloa, Mexico, Minerva has called Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania home for some time. At the firm, she works as the Receptionist for our Pittsburgh office and a Legal Assistant supporting Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) cases. She helps guide clients through the process, from connecting them with custody attorneys to monitoring the visa bulletin and confirming when they are eligible for Adjustment of Status. She also serves as the receptionist for the Pittsburgh office, where she answers calls, welcomes clients, helps them log into virtual court hearings, and assists with document collection and signatures.


She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and brings a diverse background that

includes experience as a software developer and commercial analyst.


She speaks both Spanish and English and enjoys being able to support clients in both languages.



Outside of work, she loves traveling, trying new foods, and especially enjoying a good glass of wine. Exploring new places has always been a big part of Minerva’s life. Her passion for

traveling extends to having lived in 8 different cities. One of her favorite traditions is driving more than 2,300 miles from Pittsburgh to Mexico City each year so her corgi, Canela, can travel with her and spend time with family.
